FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the shelf life of TireJect Tyre Sealant?
As long as the container is sealed, our product will last for 5+ years on the shelf. Just make sure you replace the cap and store out of direct sun light. Store in temperatures between 0°F and 85°F for best storage life. If stored in hot, dry conditions storage life will be reduced. If stored in direct sunlight it can cause preemptive coagulation of the liquid rubber and then the sealant may no longer be usable.
Is TireJect safe for my tyre and rim?
TireJect™ is safe for your tyre and rim
- No harsh chemicals
- Non-hazardous
- Non-corrosive
- Non-toxic
Is TireJect compatible with TPMS
Yes, TireJect Automotive is safe for TPMS sensors
- All vehicles 2007 or newer are required to have Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS). The system works with electronic sensors that are integrated into the valve stem. TireJect Automotive formula is designed and tested to work with hermetically sealed sensor types.
Can I use TireJect on highway speed tyres (Car, Truck, Automobile, Motorcycle)?
TireJect Automotive tyre sealant will seal bead leaks and tread punctures up to 1/4" in on-road highway speed vehicles.
- If the source of the leak is unknown we recommend to have the tyre inspected by a certified tyre shop to ensure it is safe to drive on at highway speeds.
- TireJect is safe to use on highway speed vehicles when used as directed. If not used correctly there is a safety risk. For example, if the loss of air pressure is due to a punctured/damaged sidewall the tyre runs high risk of failure which could be dangerous while operating at highway speeds. This is why we recommend that the tyre is inspected by a certified tyre shop if you have not located the source of the leak.
- Follow Automotive dosage guidelines and do not apply more than 8oz per tyre, doing so could cause tyre balance and vibration issues at higher speeds.
How long does TireJect Automotive last?
TireJect provides a durable, long lasting seal that will fix existing flat tyres caused by bead leaks and tread punctures in the crown of the tyres for up to 1/4".
We do not recommend installing TireJect Automotive as a preventative in on-road highway speed vehicles. The higher heat of the tyres caused by highway speeds will cure the tyre sealant much faster and should not be used to prevent flats.
**Disclaimer: For highway speed vehicles TireJect should only be used to seal bead leaks or tread punctures up to 1/4" in crown of tyre. Do not use TireJect to seal sidewall or shoulder punctures, unknown leak locations, punctures larger than 1/4” or any other type of tyre or rim damage, highway speed tyres in this state must be replaced. *Use as directed and follow Automotive dosage guidelines. We do not recommend multiple applications on the same tyre for on-road vehicles. It is recommended to have tyre inspected by certified tyre repair shop to ensure tyre safety.
